Membership in the Federation of Genealogical Societies is open to three categories of organizations:

• Societies including genealogical societies, family associations, historical societies;

• Associate Organizations including libraries, archives, and educational institutions; and

• Genealogical Vendors include those organizations offering products and services to the genealogical community.
