This Subcommittee is chaired by Senator Bill Nelson (D-FL) with Senator Mike Crapo (R-ID) as the ranking member. Senator Nelson is the author of Senate Bill S 1534, one of four identity theft bills before the Congress and possibly impacting access to the Social Security Death Index (SSDI).
